We need a few good vampires to volunteer some light duty at the Ball this year. Manning tables and doing some "go to" work for the first couple of hours of the party. This is not an all night thing. You will get a Krewe pass that will get you VIP access as a perk for helping!

You would report to President Suzie when doors open at 8pm. Just show up an tell the door dude you are there to volunteer and ask for Suzie. Email suequiroz@gmail.com if you are interested.

While you are in town for a couple of days before our festivities, be sure to visit our friends at the House of Shock, one of the highest rated haunted attractions in New Orleans. Get there how ever you can because you won't want to miss it! Halloween isn't complete without a real Shock!

The House of Shock is located at 319 Butterworth St. Jefferson, LA. 70121, right outside of New Orleans.

Okay, this year's Tru Blood & Gold Ball is really bringing out some retro style inspired by characters and flashback sequences on the show True Blood and there has been some discussion and concerns about patrons wearing real fur coats and wraps and or pelts for costume authenticity.

People may wear real fur. This is a personal choice and should be respected as such. NO vandalism, destruction or political, moral or negative comments to or about persons wearing fur will be tolerated. People breaking these rules may be asked to leave or removed if necessary. If you don't have anything nice to say, please keep your opinions to yourself. Wearing fur was a huge evening affair back in the 30's and 40's and in the interest of period authenticity, patrons may be taking the opportunity to pull out their vintage and estate pieces and should not have to fear public scrutiny or damage to expensive family and historical heirlooms. Please be respectful to one another and their costume choices. Thank you.
