Hey Guys,

We have a few pieces of news to share with you.

First: A "Queen of the Damned Ball" Calendar is in the planning stages and we need your pics. The higher the resolution the better. This will require all of you to submit your photos from the Ball! Time is definitely of the essence so please contact us here to coordinate delivery to Suzie for this project. We need ALL the Akashas as well as everyone else to submit A.S.A.P. This may be the first of a yearly effort! (Since it will bear the Queen's title, ALL AKASHAs who submit their photo from the Ball and are selected for the calendar will receive a special FREE gift from the fan club!!!)

Second: Suzie has extended the deadline to get pics in for the scrapbook for Anne of all of you dressed as characters from the books. Thanks to all of you who have submitted thus far. Write to us for info on how to deliver them to Suzie.

Third: The date has been officially set (tentatively until the ink is dry) for THE BLOOD AND GOLD BALL and it will be on Friday, October 30, 2009! (Devil's Night) So, mark it on your calendar...and if you don't have one, you can get one soon.

Spread the word to your friends who were at the Ball but might not have heard about this. More later!

Please send links to any photos you took at the Queen of the Damned Ball AND/OR Endless Night to alex@vampirelestatfanclub.com. We have to rebuild the photo gallery since the hackery. It is something we will be working on in the months to come so please be patient.

We cannot thank Anne Rice enough for creating this world of grandeur that we enjoy so much. Thank you Anne, for your complete and unwavering support. We love you. It is through your novels that we are able to come together every year. Many friendships are made and we are so grateful. Thank you so much!

Dear Friends,

There come times when it becomes evident that a simple "thank you" does not live up to the spirit in which I attempt to write it on behalf of this organization. This is one of those times. One week ago we held one of the most successful and well received Coven Balls that we have known in modern memory. The spirit of the Ball guests and the costumes were so reminiscent of another time that I became moved, deeply moved. All of you really stepped up to the plate and it showed. It really showed. My words just can't express enough our thanks. Thank you all so much. Without you these events, these "reunions", simply would not happen. We love you all very much.

It is at this time also that I would like to thank our Fearless Leader and fan club president Sue Quiroz. Darlin' we did it again! I am so honored to be a part of this event and humbled that I am allowed one of the greatest jobs on the face of this earth. Thank you for allowing me to serve as your assistant. I am very privileged.

Thank you to Chad and Alex "Lady ~A" Savage of Sinister Visions for all the work you selflessly perform. You bring style and grace to our design and without it we would be less than what we have become.

Thank you to Jill Tracy, Paul Mercer, Unwoman, Ex-VoTo, and all the members of The Kinky Tuscaderos for entertaining us in such high style! It was a hell of a great show from every single one of you!!! After the show you continued to visit with guests and enjoy their company. You went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you.

Thanks to Ritchie Champagne and Joe Meagher for their years of service and assistance in so many areas of the Ball.

Thanks to the fan club volunteers who are vital to our being able to enjoy these events. These include Sue's son Chris, daugther-in-law Kimberley Elizabeth, Brandi, Shayla, Mary Dugas, Jez, and so many others for your help and support all year long. (If we forgot a name, please forgive us!!!)

Thanks also go out to Gabrielle Faust and Kimberly Adkins. You were so much fun!!! We love you guys!

And here is a special word of thanks to Father Sebastiaan and Endless Night, LLC, for hosting our official ARVLFC after-party at Pravda this year and for working with the ARVLFC in cross-promotion so that we can continue to build a friendly weekend of events for all of us to enjoy. It is a distinct pleasure. Here's to the future! Here's to New Orleans!
