Hey Guys,
Wow, this news just came in and it's exciting! We thought it would be a few more days before the confirmation would come but it's here today! We are humbled.
It is with deep pleasure that we announce to you that the second musical guest to confirm that they will play the 2007 Vampire Ball is our dear friend of many years Mr. Paul Mercer! Many of you who have attended the Gatherings over the years know Paul from his work with The Changelings. Paul is a very talented violinist with many years of experience playing at our parties. He brings with him a talented group of performers that will constitute our "orchestra" for the evening. We thank Paul and his group for honoring us with their music as we begin anew with the ARVLFC and the first "Official" Coven Ball in many years. Paul's sound is truly enchanting and will undoubtedly catch you in its spell!

Here is an excerpt of what he had to say about the party to Suzie Q:

"I am putting together a very special show for the Ball this year, with amazing percussionist Davis Petterson, magnificent costumes and many ghostly effects on the violin. I think it will be striking and very different from the norm. I hope to incorporate video projections and accompanists on exotic instruments like tampura and zither. Expect a three man orchestra!...
Thank you again for taking the time out to find something different and giving us an opportunity to play this event. I am very excited to return to New Orleans. This will also be my fifth wedding anniversary - we married in New Orleans in 2002 because it was such a special place for us after coming there for so many years to play the Anne Rice Ball, but have only managed a few trips back since, and none on Halloween. This will be a chance to return to a place of so many special memories for me."

Welcome to 2007! We here at the ARVLFC hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday season. Things are going to get cookin' on this website. We will be building things out more and adding content to the membership page. Keep an eye on us because things are rolling right along in preparation for The Witching Hour: A Mayfair Witches Ball 2007, so you'll want to get a membership in order to get first dibs! Get those costume concepts ready to be realised. This year the ARVLFC is BACK and ready to help Lestat create a Ball for is favorite family, the Mayfairs! So rock it hard and show him that we will never give up our decadence!
